Frequently Asked Questions.
What types of therapy do you offer?
I offer an integrative, multimodal approach rather than any one type of therapy in isolation. I draw from psychoanalytic and psychodynamic ideas to explore the influence of past relationships, early experiences and unconscious patterns that shape how you feel today. When the focus of the process is less exploratory, I use practical behavioral tools and thought pattern awareness strategies from CBT that trigger concrete behavioral shifts in daily life. Together I also invite creative ways of expression that draw from narrative techniques that brings in focus on the stories you narrate about yourself and your life. Lastly, I include some gentle somatic techniques as the mind does not exist in isolation from the body.
How do I book a therapy session?
First schedule a free discovery call which lasts for 15 minutes via the homepage. This will be an introductory call to learn about therapeutic goals and ways we can work together. From then on based on mutual availability we schedule for sessions typically once a week that will be conducted via a google meet link online from the comfort of your own space.
Do you offer online therapy sessions?
Currently sessions are only held online.
How long is a typical therapy session?
Each therapy session lasts for 50 minutes and we shall round up each session with points we want to come back to in the next scheduled meet.
Can I switch therapists if I don’t feel comfortable?
I do believe working with a therapist you trust and feel comfortable with is a core component of therapy as it a vulnerable honest space that we work in. If feelings of discomfort do arise I first encourage clients to bring it to the table as I am flexible in my approach and do believe communicating through differences in opinion is an essential part of the therapeutic process. Regardless I am always open to referring other trusted colleagues to my clients.
